Lainie and John Beavin in 2013

ACIM Facilitators since 1989

Acknowledgements

I happily take this opportunity to thank all my “lucky” stars, whose steady, non-twinkling, numerous

brilliant lights selflessly joined with me as one in producing The Parable of the Stars. Before it became a

book, it was recorded on CD, lovingly read by my wife, Lainie. My friend, Tom Sciro, who lent his magic

touch to many of my original songs, besides serving as recording engineer/producer, also greatly

enhanced the recording with his wonderful sound effects and keyboard accompaniment. I am deeply

grateful to Lainie and Tom and to the many friends (most notably my mentor, the late Kenneth Wapnick,

Ph.D.), for their enthusiastic encouragement upon hearing our recording.

In somewhat chronological order, among those who have greatly influenced the writing of the book,

or of this second edition, I thank  Janet Masucci and Suzanne Pitak-Davis, Alan Cohen, Jon Mundy,

Gary Renard, Cindy Lora-Renard, Eliane Oliviera, Nadja M.P. Chaves, Dr. Dana Marrocco, Dr. Bob

Rosenthal, and so many others, most of whom I have yet to meet in person.

I began writing this page by sharing wonderful stories about each of these inspirational friends. Soon,

however, it had become so long that it was not in keeping with the book, itself. I will be sharing those

tales on my web-site. I hope you will visit, enjoy, and leave lots of comments.

Through some of these friends I learned enough about D. Patrick Miller to be sure he was the person I

most wanted to advise me. My lucky stars are still with me! I seriously doubt there would be a second

edition without D. Patrick and his commitment to being truly helpful, for which I am truly grateful.

Special thanks go to one friend who told me she had been reading the manuscript every day, and was

seeing abstract visions in her mind as she read. I asked Jennifer Bennett to please put what she was

seeing on paper. She did, and her beautiful abstract illustrations grace the pages of the book. Shall we

not all bask in the warm light of oneness with Jennifer and innumerable other lucky stars, who each, in

her or his own way, contributed to the writing of The Parable of the Stars? All are charter members of

The Original Beautiful Light Club.
